Social
initiatives of Ranbaxy Italy
Since its entry in Italy, Ranbaxy has been very sensitive
to the social and cultural values of Ranbaxy Foundation.
Because of this we are carrying out charity projects
that could assist people in need of help. In order
to obtain these important results, Ranbaxy relies
on the major ONLUS in Italy, that go to poors’
relief both in Italy and in developing countries.
Among our main success we can remaind:

Ranbaxy
Health care society
Ranbaxy does not view
success
and achievements only in terms of commercial gains,
but firmly believes that corporate
social
responsibility is the key for providing a deep
symbiotic relationship that exists between the company
and the environment it functions.
Over two decades ago, in 1979, in the wake of grim health
scenario of India, Ranbaxy realised the urgency to reach
out to those who had little or no access even to basic
health care and instituted ‘Ranbaxy Rural Development
Trust’. As the scope of the programme and company’s
commitment grew, in 1994, a professionally managed,
nonprofit, independent body ‘Ranbaxy Community
Health Care Society’ (RCHS) was established against
the backdrop of full moral and financial support of
the company. The mission is to be a premier community
based organization in primary health care to achieve
positive ‘Health for All’ in our service
areas.
RCHS has established community based local groups like
health committees, women groups and other interactive
groups like “dais”, “anganwari”
workers, volunteers, adolescents and breast-feeding
support group to promote community involvement and self-sustainability.
RCHS firmly believes that Information, Education, Communication
(IEC) is the “mantra” that forms the basis
of any meaningful healthcare programme. Thus, health
education now forms the key component of RCHS programme.

of RCHS on the link
